Bob Dylan - I Shall Be Released (w Norah Jones, 2005 Amazon 10th Anniv)

 

 

2005년 7월 16일 Benarya Hall, Seattle, Washington 에서 있었던 Amazon.com 10th Anniversary 기념공연에서 밥 딜런이 노라존스와 같이 불렀던 곡입니다. 밥 딜런이 언제부터인가 기타를 놓았지요. 공연서 관중들이 "Play the guitar~~~~" 외쳐도 모른척? 하더군요. :-) 여기서도 밥은 키보드... 노라는 마이크만, 노라의 움직임이 귀엽습니다.

 

이곡은 1971년 Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 에 처음 실렸던 곡이지요. 이 앨범은 2장짜리 LP로 발매가 되면서 이전의 딜런 앨범에서 Release되지 않았던 몇곡을 포함하는데, 그중의 하나가 이 I Shall Be Released 입니다. 존 바에즈의 "Any Day Now"(1968)나 더 밴드의 "Music From Big Pink"(1968)의 앨범에 먼저 발표가 되었었고 그 그후로도 수많은 가수들이 스튜디오 또는 라이브에서 불렀던 노래입니다. 1992년 Madison Square Garden에서 있었던 딜런의 30주년 기념 컨서트에서는 Chrissie Hynde가 부르기도 했지요.
